I absolutely love this restaurant. The servers are all great, and they and the service is excellent. I rarely go for the pizza and usually find myself eating their pita sandwiches which are amazing!

This place is my favorite! The Paul and young Ron pizza and the coal fired wings are our go to's! Feels like a nice night out and you can do it on a budget. Try the meatball if you're not into wings! It's delish

Anthony's excels in taste, atmosphere, service, and cost performance. I've been coming here with my dad for years, it quickly becoming one of our dinner hot spots since discovering it. On walking in, you are greeted by a lively atmosphere, with the likes of The Rat Pack, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Marilyn Monroe on the wall, before receiving their simple yet effective menu. The menu cornerstones are boxed and highlighted, and include their Classic Italian Salad, their signature Roasted Chicken Wings, and their Coal Fire Pizza, all three of which I consider essential for getting the full experience. The house salad comes with just the right amount of Italian dressing, and is further complemented with onions, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, kalamata olives, egg, red onion, and celery chops. Something about this combination of ingredients mingles really well with the dressing and hits the spot. (Gorgonzola or mozzarella cheese can be added for an extra buck or so, but I don't find them necessary). Next comes the wings, which are seasoned and charred to a perfect crisp. The seasoning is almost too salty on its own, before the accompanying caramelized onions swoop in to balance your tastebuds. The wings come atop a bed of foccacia, which ends up absorbing the seasoning from the wings, staying enjoyable all throughout. The pizza comes out freshly fired in the oven. Nothing fancy, but pretty darn good. As an effective change of pace from standard American-style pizza, they also have margherita pizza (Fresh Mozarrella, Sliced Tomato, and Basil), which is more reminiscent of Neapolitan-style pizza. And if for some reason you aren't into pizza, the Eggplant Marino (breaded eggplant covered in romano cheese and tomato sauce) is also recommended. It's not specifically the pizza that makes the meal great, but more the entire package with the wings and salad. Definitely one of the better spots for pizza in Boca. And I guarantee your dad will love it.

Definitely the best pizza in south florida. Crispy thin crust! My favorite, prosciutto, sausage and mushroom or the meatballs, delicious as well!!

Very pleasant evening here with the family. The service was truly awesome - from the point I entered to when we got the bill. That's what stood out - great service. The Pizza is good, but isn't the best I've had. I love that they have craft brews on tap, including Funky Buddah Floridian. The beer and pizza are matched perfectly. It was a pleasant evening, and included a World Cup game on all of the TV's, which are all strategically placed for easy viewing. Increasing to four stars ...

Best pizza in town. Better than pizza anywhere except maybe Italy where my family is from. I have had pizza in Italy and Anthony's tastes better!!!! Prices are very good and the people who work there are really nice. I tell everybody to go there to eat.

We came here after having failed to find a laid back restaurant that was open on a Saturday afternoon in Boca!! Intended to go to Dickey's BBQ that is in the plaza, but they had closed up the establishment! I was really hungry and I didn't care what food we were gonna get but I wasn't in the mood to go to Bonefish Grill which is also in the same plaza. We saw this pizza place and had heard about it but never tried their pizza and wings before. The wings aren't exactly what we'd expect for being on the top 10 list for wings in South Florida.... they were salty- almost if they were marinated in brine before cooking. But since we ordered 5 pieces, it was fine enough than if we had ordered 10+ pieces. They don't serve ranch, blue cheese, or celery to go with the wings.... *jaw drop* Ok whatever. We ordered a small pizza with bell peppers and mushrooms (no meat). It was good, but the bell peppers are the kind that are from a jar of marinated roasted peppers. Not exactly what I was expecting. However, I do appreciate coal fired pizza more than I would ever appreciate fast delivery pizzas from the likes of Papa Johns. Probably will try this restaurant again just for the pizza though. No wings.

We had the family size salad. The salad is very light and seasoned with Italian red wine vinaigrette . It was delicious and a big portion that could feed up to 6 people. Also since it was our first time they offered us a sampler of their coal oven roasted chicken wings topped with sauté onion, this was delicious as well. We also got their large pizza, half steak cheese and half margarita. The crust was nice and thin and crispy and well done. I really did enjoyed everything.

We used to go here regularly and found the food quality declined significantly. Decided to give it another try after a long hiatus and was not impressed. Service was excellent. It was early in the evening and the place was not busy. The pizza left a lot to be desired. We asked for extra sauce and barely got any. The extra cheese was clumpy and did not taste fresh. We will not be back. Nino's, you've got nothing to worry about!

So, we came in for a drink...still undecided about food. Sat at the bar trying to feel the place out. Then it happened. Two of the employees started to argue about who knows what. The end of it was the young guy told the girl that she was like 2 years away from 40. Well that was it for this 38 old yr..i threw the menu on the bar and told my man I'm done. Please be professional and dont insult your customers unintentionally...trust me the owner would have ur head.

Went in on jan 2, 2015 around 1:05 pm --------------------------------------------- Why I Went/How I Came Here: ----------------------------------- I was working near by with my father and we had been to the Anthony's in Ft Lauderdale and enjoyed the food so we came here for lunch. First Impression: ------------------- The Place was not too busy but had a good amount of people there. The bar had a few TVs and there was a few more around the room. Once seated we both knew what we wanted and ordered. Food Quality and Timing: ----------------------------- Drink were brought over within minutes of ordering them. My father ordered a salad came out in about 7-10 minutes and a platter of wings (took about 15-20 min) with the onions on all over them which - they have delicious wings here I highly recommend them. We both enjoyed the wings and his salad was fine nothing special. I ordered a personal pepperoni pizza with prosciutto(not cooked) and it came out in about 25 minutes. It's was really good and the coal fire taste was on point not too over done or under cooked but the sauce was a little light. Next time I'll ask for a bit more extra sauce on the pizza Overall Experience: ---------------------- Check was taken care of quickly(about a 5 minute process). For the amount of people there it wasn't too noisy our waiter was fairly nice and came by as needed and the food was excellent if your in the area definitely stop by.

I was here a couple of years ago and I thought it was great. Tonight Anthony's was just mediocre. Salad was lettuce in a bowl with lots of vinaigrette. Pizza was quickly thrown together, and on the table in 15 min. Crust is blackened. Chicken wings cooked in the coal oven are the only 4 star here. Time to move on to better more memorable pizza ..... Back in Chicago.

Went here for a dinner date with my boyfriend! It's a perfect neighborhood gem. We loved the chicken wings (20 is more then enough for two) and the cheese pizza was perfect. One of the best pizzas we have ever had! The service was fast and really friendly. I highly recommend this place!!! Get the wings!!!

Great place for quick meals with the family. The menu is super simple with limited ingredients, but everything is cooked and seasoned to perfection. Also they have an AWESOME selection of local and craft beers. For the most part all of the servers I've had have been awesome, just one exception was a guy who wasn't great, but was just okay.

Celebrated my birthday with my family at the restaurant followed a few weeks later with take out as a guest at another bday celebration. Both times were sadly disappointing. Totally lacking in taste. I have not returned, nor do I plan to. Used to love the Gorgonzola salad so much but that too is watery and tasteless, shocking since Gorgonzola has such a strong flavor. Used to love this place for a pizza pig out.

I love this place. The wings are very good and their salads are just fantastic too. Meatballs are very good too. Actually I have not found any food I dislike. I wish they would brew tea versus selling it to us in the bottle, and sometimes its a little cold there so you need to bring a jacket, but that's all okay because of the food. Good TV to view too. Excellent placement of TV.. And the coup-de-gras is the picture of Marilyn Monroe over the men's urinal. That alone is with the trip for the guys..... LOL! Ahhhhh!

  • Talia G.

I have been here about 3 or 4 times and my experience has always been exactly the same: long wait, relatively fast service and good pizza. The good pizza is to be expected, however my 4 star review stems from the surprisingly delicious salad. Why? Cause lets face it, most pizza places have ridiculously sucky salads. They put a whole head of lettuce with 2 peppers and one whole tomato and they toss it with nasty ranch. No thank you. But not Anthony's. Their simple (and only salad) composed of lettuce, onions, feta cheese, olives and chick peas (tossed in a simple vinegar dressing) is light yet flavorful and the perfect combo to a big pizza meal. After such a good start, your night can only get better as their small selection of pizzas are also pretty delicious. The meatball and sausage pizza with sweet peppers is probably their biggest one and most flavorful as it has tons of ingredients... and its 99% meat. The eggplant one is also tasty and the meatball/sausage with HOT peppers is quite dangerous as they put entire peppers there, ready to scorch your entire inner workings. Finally, as simple and tasty as the arugula pizza is, I don't recommend it unless you are planning on finishing the whole thing at the restaurant - it doesn't quite work as a 'leftovers' pizza. Top it up with a couple of beers and wine and you have a winning combination. Always a good bet!

LOVE THIS PLACE,!!! We love our pizza thin and well done they always get it right. The Paul and Young Ron pie is always a favorite. You can't go wrong getting one on the menu or building your own. The salad is huge and fresh.

  • JACOB B.

The pizza' can be as good as it gets in Fl.... but U should advise your server not to over bake the edges....it seems to be Anthony's policy to slightly "burn" the crust. ..at times this can be overdone

I am from New Haven, and thought I would just have to deal with bad pizza everywhere else until I found this chain... This is the closest to Wooster St., New Haven, CT that South Florida has to offer. Do yourself a favor and skip the toppings and learn with Mozz, tomatoes, and crust should taste like.

MY FIRST VISIT: This was the visit that bummed me out and earned them a 2 star review before this update. Basically a lack-luster experience and pre-cooked food being reheated (not the freshest presentation). MY RETURN VISIT ***WITH HESITATION***: It's not everyday I return to an eatery that I handed out a two star review but the old man suggested Anthony's since we were nearby, so I went with the flow and here I am once again. I wasn't overly concerned of being served a bad meal this time around since that wasn't the issue on the first visit. We'll just put that situation behind us and chalk it up as a fluke in the past. This time the wings were piping hot and right on the money and service was good. SINCE THEN THERE HAS BEEN VISITS THREE THROUGH FOURTEEN: They earned it... take a bow Anthony because 14 visits later I have forgotten about the "hot on the outside - cold on the inside - pre-cooked" food concern. How can one argue with a convenient location, excellent beer specials, roasted wings (heathy option for wing lovers) or other go-to dishes (eggplant marino) that summon you back for more?

  • Janika G.

The environment is relaxed although beware it does attract and older crowd. The pizzas good..i adore the Salad so fresh and generously portioned.. and the carmalized (seasonongs evoo and onions) wings are fantastic.

  • Diane N.

I love their salads. I add the Gorgonzola cheese for an extra $2.25. The salads are large enough for two or three people. The coal fired pizza is really good. I don't usually order a bunch of toppings on my pizza. Their plain cheese pizza is delicious. The pizza can be a little charred around the edges, but that's from the coal fired oven. The people sitting next to us said the eggplant marino is very good. I'll try it next time. On Mondays and Tuesdays after 5:30 pm they have $1.50 Peronis. It's a nice light lager that goes well with pizza.

I am from Ohio and we don't have any of these pizza joints there. I saw it got good reviews so my family decided to go there on Fathers Day. We had a little bit of a wait since it was FD but no big deal and the hostesses were very nice. The staff was quick and friendly. The Pizza was great! We got the white pizza with Proscuitto on it. The outer edges of the crust were kind of black so if you don't like that give them a heads up. They also have lots of craft beer choices if that is your thing. I would definitely go back! Great food! Great Service!

Definitely one of our family favorites in all of Boca. Has a neighborhood feel that makes the place real comfortable. The pizza is fabulous, well done coal fired taste! The wings are amazing and salads are super fresh. Meatballs are great. And the sleeper is eggplant which is incredible. Lately we do takeout as they are so crowded and it's just as good. Staff is always friendly and service is excellent.

Just called for delivery, based on all the great reviews I read (traveling for business on my own). What pizza joint doesn't deliver?!?!

  • Ward S.

I've been to this location multiple times and I've never had to wait because I sat at the bar to order my food. However, the restaurant has never been very crowded while I was there and I never have noticed people waiting and I've been there for lunch and for supper. The staff at the bar area is always friendly and quick with their service. The pizza itself is outstanding; the sauce is incredible. For you beer snobs, Anthony's also features craft brews from around the state of Florida. The location for this particular Anthony's is in a shopping center that includes a Bonefish Grill and a mix of retail and professional businesses. It has a small parking lot, but I've never had trouble finding a spot to park.

This was definitely @tarajroth idea. SMH. Dunno why I agreed to this, But she really was in the mood for cheese. I should have gone to Publix and got her some Kraft. I am not gonna lie, I was pleasantly surprised. But I have to say it is way too loud in here. Chicken Wings with caramelized onions and focaccia bread. Also not a good place to take pictures of food. The restaurant is dark when you come in. Not your typical pizza joint. Mozzarella tomato and basil with no sauce. This was @tarajroth order. @Xobejm and I only wanted wings tonight, but after seeing the pizza I had to take a bite. It was very good. @Tarajroth really out did herself tonight. Great order. Overall it was okay. Not a place that I would go to again. Especially, not in this area. Try it for yourself.

This place is as god as it gets. Coal oven thinly crusted pizza is delish here. So are the chicken wings. The ribs would be slamming if only they ease up on the seasoning, oil, and jalapenos. I mean boy does it keep a tingling sensation in my mouth for some time. Drink up on some water. I walked into this place and it had a very cool and modern feel to it. Dark wood makes it look sophisticated without being snobby. Recommend!

Anthony's has the most amazing tuna sandwich on herbed foccia bread. It has olive oil instead of mayo, a little lemon juice, some onion, and arrugala. You won't believe how addicting it is!

    (5)
  • Mel L.

My favorites are the salad with blue cheese, the Margarita Pizza (fresh mozz, basil and tomatoes), and the oh so good coal oven grilled chicken wings with caramelized onions! Yummy

    (5)
  • Chris W.

Good pizza with nice atmosphere. Don't be surprised if it is busy and loud. We had a cheese and also the cauliflower pizza which was great. Good chicken wings as well. Nice beer selection.

    (4)
  • Jason G.

Anthony's make a solid pie. It's not my favorite but it's a nice alternative once in awhile. Their prices are reasonable too, with the exception of the craft beers. I love how I can spend $5 on two meatballs with some ricotta and bread but I have to drop $7 for a bottle of Holy Mackerel beer. You do realize that shit is made 20 minutes away and is sold for pennies to local restaurants? Beer and pizza is a great combo but two beers buys a large pie here. Not gone do it. The Boca location is usually crowded and features a slightly older clientele, so you may want to opt for the Delray location if you want a hipper environment. Their salads are good too but there isn't much more that you can say about this place. They specialize in wings, salads and pizza and they're all fine options. Not the best pizza, but if you accept that going in you'll enjoy it more.

    (3)
  • Bill S.

This is my favorite pizza in the world. Anthony's is coal fired, with artistic burnt edges. The ingredients are the best and the taste is out of this world. Every pizza that's served at Anthony's restaurants is cooked in a proprietary 800-degree, coal-burning oven that provides a "well done" flavor - the chain's trademark. My favorite is the Paul & Young Ron pie.

    (5)
  • Mike Z.

Anthony's has great pizza. Almost always order the Paul & Young Ron pizza with sweet peppers. Make sure you say sweet and not spicy. The place is always busy, so, most of the time we order carry-out. Just call and 20-30 minutes later you pick it up. Just drive right up to the front and someone comes out of the store, gets your name and delivers the pizza to your car. It's so easy.

Found this place on a rainy day on our vacation. I was going to say the menu was a little small but when every item is outstanding you don't need a big menu. The manager stopped by several times to make sure everything was going well and even dropped off a sample of their wings. Get the wings even if you're not hungry. Wow they were great. Service was great, food was incredible, local craft beers, I can't say enough how impressed I was with this place.

I went here today for the first time; it looks like a old style neighborhood bar when you walk in--dark wood, low lights, and black and white posters. It is not clear for first time customers whether you seat yourself or are seated. So we just stood around at the front trying to figure it out...finally after a few minutes a girl showed up to seat us. They should have a dedicated hostess or just let people seat themselves; it's confusing. We ordered chicken wings ($9.50 for 10) and the roasted cauliflower pizza ($19.50 for large). The chicken wings came out right away but the pizza took a good twenty minutes. The pizza was beautiful, square slices with a crispy chewy crust. However, it was SOOO salty and also very bland. They need to add some tomato sauce to the pizza. Also, for a restaurant with "pizza" in their name, they should offer more pizza topping options. Some suggestions: Sundried tomatoes, pineapple, roasted red pepper, spinach, etc The serving size was generous, but wait time was longg and our food was just ok.

We ate at this restaurant once a week for the past year.. We will never return.. They were busy ( with a wait ) and allowed children that were about 4 years old to sit at the bar while their family waited for a table... Patrons eating at the bar were literally getting kicked by the group of 4 year olds playing at the bar. We were shocked that the restaurant management didn't do something about this. I didn't think under aged kids were allowed to sit at the bar... Will never return!

I would give the food 4 stars and the service 5 stars. I am in Boca visiting family after spending the last six month's in China, where the pizza is generally not very good. Accordingly, my mom suggested we go here so I could get in my pizza fix. We ordered an italian salad and a large cauliflower pizza to share. Unbeknownst to us the pizza was spicy. I thought it was good but my mom just doesn't like spicy food. She can be a very difficult customer to deal with at times, but our server and the manager handled the situation perfectly. We both walked out of there happy and would go back without hesitation. The Italian salad was a generous portion size, although I felt that there could be a little bit more of the non-lettuce vegetables. The dressing was really really good. It seemed to me like something they make themselves the same day in the kitchen from natural ingredients as opposed to something store bought full of preservatives and other crap. Also, it's a minor point, but when we were seated we were originally seated at a small two person table that was, to be honest, a little too close to the next table. We asked to be seated in the corner at a four person table, and without having to consult with anyone else the guy seating us allowed us to sit there no problem. They were almost at capacity so he easily could have said no. Other restaurants (in Canada t least) are not always agreeable about seating you where you want to sit when they're busy. Lastly, the service was fast. Our server came over quickly after we sat down. Then she brought us our drinks quickly. Then after we ordered our food the salad came almost right away. When my mom said she couldn't stomach the spiciness of the cauliflower pizza they made her a plain pizza that came out in 5-10 minutes - and that pizza was on the house without us having to ask.

The pizza isn't very good at all. Thin, crispy, overcooked, kinda gross. But the waitresses are so good looking! Every one is skinny and beautiful. Worth 5 stars just for that, and then some!

  • Monish P.

The pizza is a welcome change for those who are bored of dominos, pizza hut etc. it is definitely pricier but the pizzas (pie, as they call it) are really worth it. They have takeout and dine-in and they place can get pretty crowded. We waited for almost 20 minutes to be seated. The pizza itself is good but, as another person reviewed, it is thinner and feels a bit dry. However, the uniqueness of the topping makes up for it. Dont expect any of the usual chicken supreme, spicy italian etc :) they have some really exquisite toppings.

Went here because we heard from some friends it was really good. My friends and people waiting outside all recommended the same thing; salad, chicken wings, eggplant. So we ordered the salad and added the Gorgonzola cheese- really good. Chicken wings weren't your ordinary buffalo wings- sautéed onions, focaccia bread comes served with it- just wish they gave a few more pieces of it. We got traditional pizza thin, crispy, very good- liked the atmosphere, would definitely go back, heard the meatballs were great and wasn't able to try eggplant. Small menu so of course people are recommending same items.

This is my FAVORITE pizza ever ever ever! Wish they would move to California! Why oh why can't we get pizza like this in California? Actually in our 2 night stay in Florida, we ate at Anthony's in Miami and in Boca. Boca is far better. Miami throws all the food at you at same time. Salad, wings and pizza. We requested salad first. Miami take a lesson and bring the pizza out Hot! Love Anthony's in Boca! Best best pizza

This place was great. Our table included many people this past weekend. They were very accommodating getting 15 people on a Friday night. We ordered some salads and got the wings and eggplant appetizers which were both excellent. Our table ordered 4 pizzas which was too many, but thats ok cause the leftovers were awesome the next day. My favorite pizza we got was the ricotta and meatballs which were a home run out of this world good. Cant wait to come back.

I make it a point to eat here when I am in Boca Raton. The pizza is made with passion, not just slapped together. It has a thin crust with a slight char from the charcoal oven. All toppings are high quality with delightful combinations offered or your choice. The atmosphere is very casual. Service is adequate. The chicken wings with onions are also chargrilled...unbelievable! Don't eat here if you like the cardboard, boring pizzas served on every corner. This is gourmet pizza folks.

This is one of the best restaurants in Florida (Boca Raton restaurant). It has amazing well-done food and I will ask for it anyday. The wings have carmelized onions and have amazing flavor. The pizza has a variety of toppings if you want them and tastes delicious. The sald is great and has a homemade dressing. I will go here almost everyday!

The pizza is very delicious and fresh, but believe it or not, my favorite item was the wings! I very rarely eat onions but I decided to give the ones on the chicken wings a try and I was pleasantly surprised! I will definitely be eating there agian!

  • Praveen M.

The chicken wings with onion and coriander leaves awesome. But the pizza with olives and anchovies what a terrible pathetic pizza. Never have pizza here it was burn't not sure if coal fired is the reason for that. And on top of the anchovies were too salty may be. But overall even without anchovies added in my case the pizza would be worst I have had.

Pizza
